The aroma of a warm meal coming from your kitchen screams fall. Pick up some local, seasonal ingredients and experiment. Roasted vegetables, all kinds of pies and warming soups are perfect for those crisp fall days and nights.
Bring the outdoors in and decorate your home throughout the season with the colorful, fallen leaves. Spruce up your mantle, augment an existing flower arrangement, or sprinkle a few leaves on side tables to give your home a cozy, festive feeling.
Take your decorating to the next level and get crafty with your fall leaves. Wrap a few leaves around mason jars for candle holders that glow with the colors of the season, sprinkle glitter on your leaves and string them together for garlands that shine or use them like stamps to make personalized gift tags.

Winter will be here before you know it, so make sure you make the most of this beautiful fall weather while you can. There are plenty of things to fill your weekends with family, friends or on your own that will leave you feeling accomplished, balanced and refreshed. Take a break from work or your To-Do List and enjoy the season.
1. Take a hike. Take a day trip up to Old Forge to see all the beautiful fall foliage from the top of Bald Mountain. After, take a nice walk through the town and grab a bite to eat before heading back home.
3. Go apple and pumpkin picking. This is a fall favorite for my family and friends. We are so fortunate that there are plenty of places locally to go apple and/or pumpkin picking. Pick a weekend and make it a family outing. Many places have other fun activities to do as well such as hayrides or a corn maze. Try an apple slushie or hot apple cider. Yum!
