Hello Matt Ronge, I am very happy with the LunaDisplay key, it will allow me to wait a bit for the purchase of a new computer. However, there is a slight lag/delay between the movement with the mouse (or the stylus of the wacom tablet) with the display on the imac which serves as my screen. It's a shame because the fluidity is not perfect. If you have a solution I would like to know it.Cordially.Elisa Bellanger
To make my wireless network worse than it normally is, I started a download Xcode on another Mac connected to the same access point. This chewed up about 50 Mbps, and the quality of the Luna Display decreased dramatically.
However, the Luna website does not seem to consider this possibility (it does describe using an iPad as a primary display for a Mac Mini, and an iMac as a secondary display, but not an iMac as a primary display).
Check out the set of options for running a second Mac or an iPad as a remote secondary display. Extend your desktop across multiple platforms and relegate several visual functions and features to remote management. Enable touch-screen support and gesture recognition.

All you need to do is download the latest versions of the Luna Display software, then hook up your Mac to your Windows PC to use in extended display mode. This is a great option if you have an outdated Mac that still has a working screen. The update adds other improvements, like support for Magic Keyboard and 4K/5K resolution. On the PC side, you also get two new modes: Teleprompter and Office.
Along with PC-to-Mac mode, the update introduces support for 4K and 5K resolutions. Computers that have a 4K or 5K display can be used as a secondary display at their full resolution, with the USB-C Luna Display required for this functionality.

There are more Duet Display alternatives on the market than you think and the options include both free and paid. If you are looking for an innovative and cost-effective way to add a second monitor to your desktop or laptop, the following alternative apps to duet display can help.
Duet display vs Luna: Comparing the two, Luna Display and Duet Display will both display your iPad as a second monitor. The core difference is that the Luna app requires both software and hardware.
The process is pretty similar to the software described above. You first need to purchase and download the app from your mobile device, and then download the driver app to your computer. And there you go, you have an enhanced monitor.
However, this should not be a problem if you work within a range of a few meters. In summary, SideCar is a great way for Apple fans to use their iPads as a display for Mac desktops without installing a third-party app. See more here.
Duet Display vs TeamViewer: The app allows you to monitor devices remotely and is a bit different than Duet Display Therefore, it is obvious that you can use Team Viewer to add a second screen to your computer. The process is quite simple as you just need to download and install the app and you can remotely transfer the screen.
One aspect which his unique, is that team viewer allows for audio to also be played via video player on the remote device. I found many duet display alternative apps had issues with the remote audio feature, while Team Viewer did not.
The process is pretty simple, as all you need to do is connect the two devices wirelessly through the app. After you download the app, the options are endless. Standard is the best choice for anyone who wants to mirror their Mac on an iPad for things like drawing, annotating, or remote whiteboarding.
