Animal Physiology is a course which covers the biology of organisms living in the environment including Ciliates, Protozoa, including those living in the biosphere and organisms on the planet and in oceans. The course deals with cereals, plants, algae, Riparian vegetation, insects, molluscs, arthropods / octopus, fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and fish, in the course, the physiology of fish, amphibians and reptiles are discussed as these are closely related to the physiology of mammals and birds. The physiology of these animals has been neglected in most of the textbooks on biology. Partial Concepts 1, 2, 3 focus on animal nutrition and digestion, the physiology of skin and salt and water balance.
An important aspect of the class is that students appreciate the importance of animal biology. The primary intention is to introduce physiology of living organisms, beyond the traditional Human physiology. The aim is to inculcate an appreciation for living systems and the wonder of the living world. The lectures stress the role of the animal in the ecosystem. The lectures are lively and well presented by teachers and we have conscious that it is an animal physiology class. After the lecture we have laboratory with practical work on tissue culture using cell culture lab. We have one of the best teaching staff. The class is a pleasant mix of humorous comments, enthusiasm, and experiences related to the topic and teaching. The course contains complete teachings and laboratory experiments to ensure retention of the knowledge.
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the concepts, principles and methodology of the study of biology. During the course, the students will be guided in discovering the underlying mechanisms that determine living organisms and their adaptation to their environments. A comprehensive review of the principles of cell and molecular biology with a focus on immunology will be the basis for a study of evolution, genetics, behavior, anatomy, physiology and reproduction in a biological context. The laboratory experiments are designed to assure that the students understand the significance of computers, data storage and retrieval systems in biology. d2c66b5586
