Finally, in the finals, Goku heads to a field made of steel within a pillar of rock. There he will face the 8th World Champion, Piccolo, whom Saiyans detest because of the great size and strength of his right hand. Goku however, is confident that, because he was inspired by Piccolo to try to beat him in the Semi-Finals, he will be able to defeat him. As soon as Goku and Piccolo are set up for their fight, Piccolo asks Goku about his recent battles and Goku compares himself to the legendary giant Gai Gong Fugo.
